Dating older women

It’s not just older women who are pursuing younger men; the younger men are pursuing the older women! There are a number of reasons this is occurring:

Taboos have been lifted
Don’t want children
Mentoring opportunities
Independence
Maturity

As more celebrities are dating older women and the relationships are portrayed in a positive way on screen, there is less opposition from society when they see a younger man with an older woman. As with many customs of the past, the taboo of dating older women is no longer taboo.

Men who don’t want children are attracted to dating older women because they often already have children or have chosen not to have any children. This makes for a better match than young women who want children or are unsure if they do or don’t.

Dating older women can provide opportunities for a man to receive mentoring, NOT mothering…mentoring! This only works when it happens naturally over casual conversations during dinner or strolling in the mall and isn’t forced. The areas older women mentor younger men:

Sex-even an experienced lover can learn from older women who has more years available to gain experience
Career-through social contacts and observing, a younger man can learn a lot about business and career advancement
Social-new circles are entered and new friends made as the date of an older woman
Family-a young man might not have the appreciation for family as an older woman develops

Many younger women are still dependent; an older woman tends to be more independent. She has the self-confidence of knowing she can support herself, make a career, manage her own free time, enjoy varied interests, and be fulfilled with her life when her younger man is busy. For a mature young man who has a full life, older women will be a better match than someone his age or younger.

For a young man who is mature and settled down, the young partying ladies might not be what matches him. With the high rate of women with children who are single and divorced, younger women are often tied up with work and their children. This leaves limited time for dating for the women. Also, these women might not be as interesting to a mature man. Dating older women is often more interesting to a mature younger man. The conversations tend to be more interesting, varied, and challenging.

Dating older women is different than dating younger women. Older women will be use to and expect the following:

Manners-the simple things like opening doors and helping her off with her coat will go far.
Respect-it can’t just be respect for her; she will want a young man to respect her job, interests, and family.
Fun-she probably has focused on family and career for years. She now has time for some fun and to enjoy life.
Time-an older woman who has time to date and enjoy life will not be needy, but will expect a younger man to have time for dating, also.
Conversation-a younger man should have interests and experiences to talk about during dates. Current event knowledge will be helpful.

When dating older women, age won’t matter with two people who find each other interesting and fun.
